MAGNETISM AND SUPERCONDUCTIVITY: Magnetism of isolated magnetic moments; Excitations in magnetic systems; Magnetism of metals; Magnetism at low dimensionality; Superconductivity; Experimental techniques. NANOMAGNETISM and SPINTRONICS: Micro and Nanomagnetism: domain walls, hysteresis, magnetic nanoparticles, magnetic coupling in multilayers, micromagnetic simulations. Spintronics: Anisotropic Magnetoresistance, Giant Magnetoresistance, Tunneling Magnetoresistance, Spin Transfer torque, Rashba effect, Spin FET.
