Course Description Firstly, the course examines the context in which are included the main social, ethical and deontological issues of ICT, clarifying. what is the so-called Information Society and the need for and the characteristics of an ethics for the so-called Computer (or Digital) Age. Afterward, the course examines the main topics of the Computer Ethics: the impact of ICT on work; the impact of ICT on citizen' 'life (e-Government & e-Democracy); the privacy problem; ICT and intellectual property: ethical issues of Internet; computer crimes; the "digital divide" in the world; professional deontology, codes of ethics and professional conduct in ICT milieu. 1.
