Course Description The teaching will analyze a series of topics and experiences that determine the scope of contemporary and future work design. This theme today is a category of the essential design because it involves a fundamental and constantly changing field of the everyday life of individuals, involving them from a pragmatic, emotional and social point of view. The course will provide a planning, sociological and cultural knowledge regarding the instruments, systems, platforms and spaces that, due to their characteristics, improve the work practice in terms of usability, interaction, performance and sensory experience. The themes will be addressed not only from a theoretical point of view but also through direct experiences and practical projects: the spaces, the approach, the relationships between individuals and between humans and machines reveal a new dimension that breaks usual customs. Each topic will be examined with an innovative approach, being the learning outcome of the class making students aware of the context and the contemporary issues of the design process, always keeping in mind to remain human-centric, when virtual and real interacts, as it happens more and more often in our society and workplaces.
