Course Description Fluid kinematics. Fluid properties. Conservation equations: mass, energy, momentum. Notions of turbulence, and Reynolds-averaged balances (mass, momentum, energy). Boundary layer. Theoretical concepts are presented through some reference flow-fields, namely: laminar and turbulent channel flow; pipe flow; cylinder in a turbulent channel; fluid-structure interactions.
